The Pharmaceutical Industry is facing a crisis - too few new drugs are emerging to replace older ones coming off patent. Increased investment in R&D has not resulted in a higher number of new drugs being approved.
Many companies seek ways to increase productivity in R&D, control spending and improve outcomes. Finding better ways to integrate data sources and make better decisions faster is being given top priority across the industry.
Informatics systems across Discovery, Development and Clinical Research are attempting to integrate data sources, silos, continents and even cultures in an attempt to increase productivity and improve success rates. Information Technology is being leveraged through in-house built systems and through external vendors to aid knowledge-driven decision making.
This conference will feature presentations from Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies detailing their individual approach to integrating data across silos, projects, sites, and
CROs. They will each describe how they are choosing their integration points and integration platforms, how much they are leveraging vendor solutions or in-house built platforms. The actual value of data integration and its impact on overall productivity will be examined in detail.
This conference aims to bring together both IT experts and IT Users from Discovery through Development to Clinical in a unique
forum at Molecular Medicine Tri- Conference 2009. The conference aims to bring together both senior managers looking for solutions to the productivity gap in their organizations and to bench-level researches who wish to further their own research by leveraging in-house and external informatics solutions. It also aims to be a useful meeting place for in-house informatics experts/executives and technology providers.
If you are interested in participating and describing how your organization is building or adopting integration platforms or if you are a technology provider who delivers solutions to the Life Science Industry, please submit a proposal using the link below
